Bad Driver …

I’m not a good driver, beside I always have problems with directions, when you describe me a location I don’t know, you should expect me to be late or maybe to get lost !
Once I had to go and meet a very nice family to introduce myself to them, the house location is not ambiguous and the man of the house (Mr. M. Sh) described the location fair enough, but I was going exactly on the opposite direction 
Using my mobile and many calls kept me in the wrong direction, and finally low battery, and the mobile turned off by itself (i-mate JAMin -I don’t recommend such a mobile -).
I lost the line with “Mr. M. sh” and i had to go home desperate. In my way to home, I found one of the locations which should be around as what i remember. i tried to remember as much as I can and finally I found myself standing by the door of their house 
After all I still have problems with directions …. could anyone suggest solutions ??
